Making sure we didn't miss anything

Copy Editing

Copyediting ensures your manuscript is polished, consistent, and ready for publication. While developmental editing addresses structure, copyediting works at the sentence level to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency.

Beyond catching errors, we look for inconsistencies in tone, style, and formatting so your writing feels smooth and coherent from start to finish. Copyediting ensures your prose communicates clearly with your intended audience. Copyediting helps your voice remain strong while eliminating distractions caused by errors or uneven phrasing.

Proofreading

Once your manuscript has been copyedited, we proofread the manuscript to ensure no errors or inconsistencies remain before publication. At this point, the writing itself is complete; what we need is to catch typos, formatting issues, layout glitches, and subtle mistakes that could undermine the book.

We check punctuation, spacing, and stylistic consistency across the entire document. We also review page numbering, cross-references, tables of contents, headers, captions, and illustration placement to confirm everything is ready to go to the printer.
